Initially I met Chelsea when she was a bridesmaid in a wedding I was photographing. She was pregnant with her first baby, and she was so cute! Afterward, she emailed me about photographing a Vancouver family photography session when her baby arrived.
A few months later, baby girl, Ryan was born. We decided to wait a little longer than the typical ideal time frame for newborn photos. Eventually, I ended up photographing Ryan on her three month birthday. Her little personality was really starting to come out. She is such a little smiley girl, and was seriously a pleasure to spend time with. I also have a thing for chubby babies, and she is the squishiest!
In my experience, photographing families at their own homes is an amazing thing. Naturally, you feel more relaxed in your own space, so it’s totally ideal when you have little kids! When you have a new baby, it takes a little longer to get out of the house. I find that it’s much easier to have me come to you instead!
Chels and Rob have a cute little apartment, with just the right amount of light to shoot a little cozy Vancouver family photography session. I had such a great time with this little family, and I can’t wait to see them again next year.
