Jess and Will
My favourite ceremony idea is being married at sunset. This sunset wedding at Brockhouse Restaurant in Vancouver was especially a dream. The light and weather was perfect for a summer evening wedding.
Firstly, Jess and Will came to Vancouver from Calgary to get married at the Brockhouse Restaurant. They were married by a family friend in a perfect evening ceremony in August. Afterward, their reception was on the lawn of the venue right along Jericho Beach. Furthermore, the decor was absolutely perfect. I swear the road to my heart must be paved by string lights, I’m so obsessed with them.
Initially, they didn’t want to do couples portraits, but I did my best to convince them, because of the beautiful sunset that night. With only fifteen minutes before sunset for bridal portraits, I think we pulled out some miracles at Spanish Banks. We hopped into my car, and zipped up the road to Spanish Banks. I asked them to sneak out onto the giant logs at the beach, and take advantage of the warm evening light. Finally, we made it back just in time for their grand re-entrance, and the rest of the night was lit by the stars (and string lights).
Ultimately, we had a great team on this one! Thank you so much for having me at your sunset wedding at Brockhouse Restaurant.
