Lejla & David
It was probably the coolest twist ever in wedding planning!
With the help of a killer planner team, Lejla agreed to let David plan their ENTIRE Polygon Gallery wedding. With the exception of the venue and choosing her own dress, she was completely in the dark about their wedding day plans. Days like this make me so excited to be a Vancouver Photographer.
Ceremony
First, the ceremony was lit entirely by candlelight. During the ceremony, David pranked Lejla by passing a box with her wedding band around the room. Ultimately, The ring box was empty, and the actual band was tied to a daffodil behind them in a floral arrangement.
Reception
Later, at the reception, guests were welcomed by fairies, dangling from the ceiling filling wine glasses. This was my first ever Polygon Gallery Wedding and the space was filled with the most detailed, insane decor I have ever seen. The upstairs wedding event space at the Polygon Gallery is stunning, flanked by windows, with the perfect amount of ambient city light.
The reception was opened by the MC rapping a parody of “Lose Yourself” from the 8 Mile soundtrack. The speeches were tear-jerkers, and the dance party was kicked off with live music from Side One.
It was a joy to photograph your Polygon Gallery wedding.
