Angela & Jamie
As much as I hate the end of wedding season, it brings forward the other season I love, which is the season of family sessions. Ultimately, this Mud Bay family session was one of my favourites of the year.
This beautiful Mud Bay family session in Surrey was accompanied by tall grass, lots of mud, and two adorable babes. My favourite way to photograph families is to let them take the lead. Mostly, I encourage chasing the kids around and not really worrying too much about what I’m doing.
Family session candids are best achieved by just acting natural with your kids! Playing, cuddling, running around, throwing them up in the air; whatever your family dynamic.
These two are the hardest working people in the biz. They juggle so many things. I have no idea how they keep all the balls in the air without dropping any. Each of them are insanely successful in their own businesses, phenomenal parents, fundraiser extraordinaries, damn good looking, and are now in the midst of opening a restaurant.
Super heroes don’t all wear capes folks.
If you’re someone who feels like you don’t know where to start with preparing for a family session, reach out to me and ask! I’ve written a family session guide that I love to share. It takes the guesswork out of achieving beautiful family photos, and lets you know what to expect from me. It covers session length, number of photos, styling assistance with links, and lots more valuable information.
