These two are the hardest working people in the biz. They juggle so many things, I have no idea how they keep all the balls in the air without dropping any. They are each insanely successful in their own businesses, phenomenal parents, fundraiser extraordinaries, damn good looking, and are now in the midst of opening a restaurant. Super heroes don’t all wear capes folks.
Alexandra and I had been following each other on Instagram ever since I photographed a wedding of a close friend of hers, where she actually officiated. We totally hit it off the day of. She has a personality that radiates positive energy and I was totally drawn to her!
We planned to shoot photos of her and her partner, Jordan. Her idea was to do some risqué shots in the freezing cold ocean….in November.
Justine and Connor struck gold with a beautiful warm sunny day in late September.
Justine and her bridesmaids got ready at her apartment in Kitsilano, complete with multiple dance parties, toasts, and happy tears. The Vancouver Club ceremony and reception spaces were set up beautifully with florals amazingly done by a family friend of the couple.
The bridal party left me singing Luke Bryan songs the rest of the night, and the reception MC had the entire crowd on their feet (and their chairs!)
Thank you so much for including me in your amazing celebration!
In-home sessions are a great option to document the intimate sides of pregnancy. If couples want outdoor photos, sometimes I suggest starting in the home first, and then finishing the session in a second location. Pregnancy is such a beautiful experience, but sometimes can be a mind-F when it comes to how we feel about our bodies. It’s amazing to be able to go back and appreciate the changes your body experiences, even if at the time, we’re not feeling our best.
Sam and Corey got married at 50th Parallel Estate in Lake Country, British Columbia.
The preparations of the day were seriously so chill. Sam has such a calming quality about her, and was super go-with-the-flow.
I found this insane spot for a first look outside their hotel and they totally trusted my vision and went with it, sight unseen. We ended up with the best views of the Okanagan!
